400 students from nine area middle schools participated in Dive Into Oceans on Thursday and Friday, April 10 and 11. The public was invited to enjoy most of the same activities and tour the Environmental Learning Center for free on Saturday April 12.

Dive Into Oceans Dive into Oceans is co-sponsored by the Diving Equipment and Marketing Association, the Oceans for Youth Foundation, and Collier County Public Schools. A 17,000-gallon “Be a Diver” pool will provide students and families on site an opportunity to get more than just their feet wet. In addition, visitors will be able to explore marine life in the touch Dive Into Oceanstank, see plankton under a microscope, get a behind-the-scenes tour of a working research laboratory, meet marine law enforcement officer K-9 units, and more. Plus, in the auditorium, Chuck Davis cinematographer and former Cousteau crew member will preview amazing underwater IMAX film footage due to air on national television in May.
