How Can My Membership Help?
The Friends of Rookery Bay work with the Rookery Bay Reserve staff to help meet the many challenges faced by coastal reserve managers. The Friends provide community support and involvement designed to contribute to informed coastal decisions through an integrated program of stewardship, research and education.
These programs include water quality research, biological monitoring of shorebirds, turtles, and sharks, as well as community outreach activities and educational programs for local schools. As a member of the Friends of Rookery Bay you will enjoy the satisfaction of working with Reserve staff to help protect valuable habitat and educating the public.
