The mission of the education department at Rookery Bay is to deliver positive, rewarding experiences that increase awareness and understanding of the value of coastal ecosystems. A variety of programs styles and topics are offered to accommodate a wider variety of learners of all ages. Community Outreach

Daily programs 
Daily Programs are offered at the Environmental Learning Center at 11 a.m. and 2 p.m. Topics vary.

Guided Kayak Tours
Guided Kayak Tours are offered several times a week in winter and weekly in the summer. Pre-registration is required. See the full daily calendar for schedule and details.

School Field Trips

Summer Programs
Summer at Rookery Bay is an exciting time to learn about the estuary and coastal ecosystems in a less structured way than during the school year. Programs are offered for both families and summer camps.

Guided Tours of the Environmental Learning Center can be scheduled to accommodate groups.

On-site Education Programs
On-site education programs for adults can be scheduled to accommodate groups. Choose from one of many daily program topics.

Community Outreach
Outreach programs can be provided to your association, club, group or organization at your location. Click here to see the list of available programs that can be provided.

School Outreach
Outreach programs can be provided for after-school groups and other classes or schools that may not be able to travel to Rookery Bay for a field trip. These programs are modeled after the summer programs offered by Rookery Bay.
