Environmental Learning Center Informed Stewardship

The future of the Rookery Bay and Ten Thousand Islands estuary is in the hands of the people of Southwest Florida, residents and visitors alike. Informed stewardship of this nationally-recognized environmental treasure begins with awareness and education, and is based on science and understanding. By enhancing the present commitments of $3.5 million from state and federal sources, the remaining $5,000,000 philanthropic goal is needed for:

  • Environmental Learning Campus
  • Interpretive Displays & Interactive Exhibits
  • Shell Island Road Dormitory & Improvements
  • Endowment
