The City of Naples recognizes the importance of water resources to sustaining the economic, environmental and human health of our community. To ensure adequate protection the City implemented ordinance 08-11972 that regulates professional landscaping activities and the application of fertilizer. According to this ordinance all professional landscapers applying fertilizer within City limits need to register with the City and obtain a Landscaper Certification.

To obtain the City’s Landscaper Certification, professional landscapers need to complete the Green Industries Best Management Practices training.

During the past five years, the Rookery Bay National Estuarine Research Reserve (RBNERR) Coastal Training Program (CTP) has trained professional landscapers to conduct operations safely and effectively, comply with new local and statewide regulatory requirements and adequately maintain urban green spaces.

Registration Details

All Project Greenscape classes require registration. Please print a registration form and mail it or fax it to Project Greenscape (300 Tower Rd, Naples, FL 34113 or Fax 239-417-6315). To assure you a seat in a class we need to receive your registration and payment three days before the class takes place. Fees are non-refundable.
