Dive Into Oceans Day
Rookery Bay Reserve had about 1,000 participants at our fifth annual Dive Into Oceans event, co-sponsored by FDEP CAMA, Friends of Rookery Bay, Oceans for Youth Foundation, Florida Sea Grant, DEMA, and several local Naples civic groups.

While the major attraction of the three- day event continues to be the 17,000 gallon pool sponsored by DEMA for introducing students and adults to SCUBA, one of the highlights on Saturday was a presentation by photographer Clyde Butcher and filmmaker Elam Stolfus, the team that produced the Living Waters exhibit and film that features Florida’s Aquatic Preserves. Their presentation focused on the aesthetic, recreational and economic values of Aquatic Preserves and the work of CAMA within DEP.
